Pretty Purl Hat DIY

Here is a simple hat done entirely with the purl stitch (or knit if you want to flip it at the end) that works up crazy quick and looks great with the large sized Faux Fur Pom DIY from last week.

Want to make a great gift in just a couple hours?  Make this hat.

You will need:
-Size US 13 16" circular knitting needles.
-Bulky yarn
-Stitch marker
-Crochet hook or tapestry needle to finish
-Pom maker or all the supplies from the Faux Fur Pom DIY

Cast on 40 stitches and begin working in the round, taking care not to twist your stitches.
Purl.  A lot.  Just keep purling until your hat is about 6 inches long.
Add your stitch marker.
*Purl 6. Purl 2 together.   Repeat from * until you reach your stitch marker.
*Purl 5.  Purl 2 together.  Repeat from * until you reach your stitch marker.
*Purl 4.  Purl 2 together.  Repeat from * until you reach your stitch marker.
*Purl 3.  Purl 2 together.  Repeat from * until you reach your stitch marker.
*Purl 2. Purl 2 together.  Repeat from * until you reach your stitch marker.
Cut a long tail.  Use your crochet hook or tapestry needle to thread tail through remaining stitches on hook.  Pull tight and knot.  On the inside of the hat (the knit side) make a few more knots to secure.  Use your crochet hook or tapestry needle to weave in any remaining loose ends.

Now use a large pom maker to make a pom or follow the Faux Fur Pom tutorial.  It looks best with a larger pom.  And Congrats!  You're done!  Email me at SansLimitesCrochet@gmail.com with any problems or questions!
